On October, 19 the lawyers community of the Republic of Moldova celebrated its professional holiday - Lawyer's Day. 

Our great politician, lawyer, scholar and writer Constantin Stere said that the state is legal coat of the people. This adage fully reflects the importance of the profession of lawyer because through their professional performance, namely, jurists are the ones that should give substance to the notion of Rule of Law and Supremacy of Law. Society's trust in state institutions depends on the way those practicing law understand how to do their job. Therefore, it is our duty - of lawyers - to keep on refining the "legal coat of people" every day.

On the occasion of the professional holiday - Lawyer's Day, on behalf of myself and the Constitutional Court, let me congratulate all those who have embraced this noble profession.

I wish you peace and prosperity and urge you to perform your duty of working to the extent of modest powers for the benefit and prosperity of the nation and to the best of your abilities on achievement of great ideas of Justice and Liberty.
