Students from the Lyceum “Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt” from Grigoriopol Have Become Acquainted with the Activity of CCM

On 17 May 2017, the Constitutional Court (CCM) hosted a group of students from the Lyceum Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt” from Grigoriopol, who were given presentations on the activity of CCM and its implications in advancing the democratic European values in the Republic of Moldova.

The students were welcomed by the CCM judge – Doctor Habilitated in Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aurel Băieşu and by the Secretary General of the CCM – Mrs Diana Balan, who made a presentation of the powers and organizational structure of the Court.

The former judge of the Constitutional Court of Lithuania, who is an expert of the European Union project “Support for the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova,” Prof. Dr. Toma Birmontienė underlined in her presentation the European dimension of the activity of CCM.

Finally, the students had the opportunity to address questions on the activity of the CCM and its impact on the daily life of citizens.

 

The event was carried out with the support of the European Union project “Support to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova”.
