Nicolae OSMOCHESCU

Born on 12 November 1944 in Şumiţa, Bozovici commune, Romania.

Within the period 1968-1973 completed the studies at the Faculty of Law, State University of Moldova.

In 1974-1977 - trainer for the doctor s degree at the Faculty of Law, "M. V. Lomonosov" State University of Moscow, receiving the scientific qualification of doctor in international law. From 1973 to 1990 has been acted as university lecturer, superior lecturer, reader, head of chair with the Faculty of Law, State University of Moldova.

Between 1990-1992 and 1994-1995 held the office of the Prime-Deputy Minister for the Exterior of the Republic of Moldova.

In 1993-1994 performed the function of the counselor of the President of the Republic of Moldova.

On 22 February 1995 has been designated as judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova.

On 25 September 1998 - resigned the office.

Author of the monographs "International Law in the Constitutions of modern states", "Referendum - as a way of direct expression of the people's will", "Protocol and diplomatic etiquette", head of the working group on drafting the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.
