On 10 November 2016, the justices of the Constitutional Court and staff members of the Secretariat of the Court conducted a study visit to the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany.

The visit aimed to exchange experiences and best practices in the field of constitutional jurisprudence, as well as to discuss the new trends in constitutional justice. In particular, they discussed the current issues and new challenges in this area, such as migration, in the context of free movement; the limits of allowable interference in matters of fundamental human rights, in the context of public safety; the restriction of freedom of religion in terms of protecting the rights of others, etc.

Within the visit, the delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova had several discussions with the justices of the Federal Constitutional Court and representatives of the subdivisions of the Court.

The visit constituted one of the activities carried out with the support of the EU Project „Support for the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova."
