Validation of MP mandate of Mr Valerian Bejan
On 10 December 2015, the Constitutional Court of Moldova delivered a judgment on the validation of the MP mandate attributed by the Central Electoral Commission to Mr Valerian Bejan, elected on the list of the Liberal Party.
Circumstances of the Case
The case originated in the application on the validation of MP mandate attributed to Mr Valerian Bejan, lodged with the Constitutional Court on 8 December 2015 by the Central Electoral Commission.
The Constitutional Court ruled on the application in the following composition:

Conclusions of the Court
Hearing the reasoning of the parties, the Constitutional Court noted that the Parliament declared the vacancy of this MP mandate on the list of the Liberal Party, following the resignation of the MP Mihaela Iacob, the next alternate candidate on the list of this party being Mr Valerian Bejan.
In the plenary sitting, the Constitutional Court has established that there are no circumstances preventing validation of the MP mandate attributed by the Central Electoral Commission to Mr Valerian Bejan.
Judgment of the Court
Stemming from the above reasoning, the Constitutional Court declared Mr Valerian Bejan elected, on the list of the Liberal Party, as Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
The Judgment of the Constitutional Court is final, cannot be appealed, shall enter into force on the date of passing, and shall be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova.
