2017 The Constitutional Court of Moldova Has Elected Its PresidentIn a plenary session of the Constitutional Court of Moldova (CCM), held on 12 May 2017, the judge Tudor PANȚÎRU has been elected as President of the CCM, for a three-year term. Pursuant to the law, the President of the Court is elected by secret ballot. The President of the CCM, Mr Tudor PANȚÎRU is a judge at the CCM since February 2013. In the past, he graduated the Faculty of Law, State University of Moldova and served as a Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Chairman of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Ambassador and permanent representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations, President of the UN Commercial Court, International Judge at the European Court of Human Rights and since 2002 as International Judge at the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other senior positions. |
