Best Constitutional Court Journalist 2016

On Tuesday, 30 May 2017, the award ceremony of the winners of the contest "Best Constitutional Journalist 2016" was held in the premises of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova. Ms. Ana Bejenaru, reporter at the public television station "Moldova 1" and Ms. Ileana Pîrgaru, reporter TVR Moldova were selected as the winners of this competition and received the Diplomas and prizes from the former President of the Constitutional Court and the Team Leader of the EU-funded project “Support to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova”. 

The award ceremony took place in the court room of the Constitutional court, in the presence of current and former CCM judges, members of the EU-funded Project Team and high level international expert invited to the event by the EU-funded project.  Participants in the contest were evaluated on the basis of the submitted files covering the year 2016 and the criteria for selecting winners included added value for society, compliance with journalistic ethics, but also presence at CCM meetings and events.

The purpose of the contest was to raise awareness in the society and media about the functions and activity of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova.  The competition was carried out with the support of the EU-funded project "Support for the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova".
